A LITTLE CLARITY

Higher score. Easier melody.

MelodyMeter rates the ease of singing a song’s recognizable main lead melody in a comfortable key. A score of 10 is easiest. You don’t need to copy the original singer’s tone, optional ad-libs, or layered backing vocals.

AI gets the conversation started

AI ratings are provisional judgments from available song information and the model’s learned knowledge. Audio has not been analyzed. We don’t present exact tempo, note range, or timing measurements without supporting evidence. Unfamiliar songs may remain unrated.

The audience takes the lead after 10 ratings

Once 10 different verified emails have submitted an overall rating for a song/version, the audience average becomes the main score. We show that average to one decimal place and retain the AI estimate separately.

Each individual factor also needs 10 audience ratings before its audience score qualifies. The audience overall average uses people’s overall scores, independently of the optional factor scores.
